Support & Progress

Students' progress is checked at regular intervals throughout the academic year, with 3 progress reports and a full an annual report issued. There is a Parent/Sixth Form Consultation Evening held in the Spring Term as well as Meet the Team mornings throughout the Academic year for all parents.

Students are closely supported by their subject staff to ensure that they are given appropriate strategies to progress with their courses and there is a variety of intervention available to assist, including support plans, subject workshops, revision classes and online resources.

Meetings will be arranged between parents, subject staff and Sixth Form where necessary, with the purpose of implementing  individualised plans for students. Positive, open and regular communication is essential to ensure students' progress and success.

Sixth Form is aware that external factors can affect a student's ability to focus, to progress and achieve their potential. Students can access counselling and external agency referrals if required as well as being supported by RAISE where appropriate.

Students and parents are encouraged to contact Mrs Packer, Key Stage 5 leader, if they have concerns regarding any aspect of their learning or are experiencing any difficulties with which they would like support.

The teachers are great and can suggest new perspectives to enhance your work and achieve the best that you can. Roger, Yr13 student
