Your child will be studying and focusing on GCSE ICT Controlled Assessment. Key areas of learning will cover:

Community Spirit

  • E-newsletter: create an e-newsletter to promote 'Community Spirit'
    • Overview: check requirements, gather information
    • Design: produce a set of storyboards
    • Build: gather content and build the e-newsletter.
  • Review: answer questions about this activity.
  • Evaluation
  • Create an index page: The page must include:
    • who they are, their registration number, centre name and number
    • the title of this task (CAB Unit 2 - Welcome!)
    • links to the evidence

  • Worldwide web, identification & authentication
  • Online accounts, personal spaces
  • Profiling (public and private), data protection

Spring Term 2:

Your child will be studying and focusing on Online goods services and communities. Key areas of learning will cover:

  • Online ‘shops’/physical goods
  • Booking systems for travel, leisure and entertainment, gaming & auctions

  • Education and training

  • ‘On demand’/streaming entertainment services

  • User-generated reference sites and social book marking
